Management radar. Project manager cockpit.
Management sees the portfolio, priorities and decisions. Project managers control details, tasks and forecasts in the same data space.
The shows exactly where projects now need a decision, budget, or leadership. Budget, deadlines, forecasts, risks and approvals become clear control signals.
The factory Project Control Center is software for multi-project management, project controlling and project portfolio management. It brings project status, budget, forecast, risks, approvals and tasks together in one shared project control dashboard.
MPM = management view across all projects · SPM = operational view of a single project · PRM = roles & responsibilities across internal and external stakeholders
Management sees the portfolio, priorities and decisions. Project managers control details, tasks and forecasts in the same data space.
Plan changes, budget signals and forecast shifts automatically start warnings, approvals, tasks or escalations.
Hundreds of projects, dozens of people responsible, decentralized data entry – rollout possible within a few weeks. References ↗
Management needs an overview. Project managers need operational depth. The Project Control Center connects both: portfolio radar on top, project control below, synchronized through rules, roles and workflows.
As in a classic control center, data isn't reported periodically – it's collected from individual projects on every change and consolidated in the multi-project control center. This turns many individual transactions into a controllable overall picture – in real time, not after the fact. And the reverse holds too: decisions from the management area feed back into the project in real time – not just at the next status meeting.
| Project | Change | Deviation | Notification level | Recipient |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CRM rollout | Resource conflict reported | within tolerance | Notice | Project manager |
| Warehouse expansion | Delivery date +9 days | above warning threshold | Warning | Project manager + Multi-Manager |
| ERP migration | Cost +6% | above alarm threshold | Alarm | Controlling lead |
Multi-Managers, project managers, partners, procurement, controlling leads and others all work on the same data basis – but with different scope and reach.
Keeps an overview of all data and metrics across the entire project portfolio – consolidated, prioritized, and ready for decisions at any time.
Sees an overview of their own projects in the multi-project control center – whether it's one project or seven – with status, budget, and open decisions for each project.
In practice, it's far from just classic managers who use MPM: as soon as a project manager is responsible for more than one project at a time – or a project is itself broken down into several sub-projects – they effectively become a multi-project manager at their own level.
Works at the multi-project level: increases or reduces budgets, releases planned budgets – and automatically triggers feedback to the responsible project manager. Conversely, they themselves are automatically informed about relevant deviations from the projects.
The decisive advantage: management first sees consolidated metrics – and can drill straight into the details whenever needed. The same user jumps from the aggregated view into the relevant single project and sees the transactions that generated the metric.
Information from individual transactions in the SPM is automatically escalated to the MPM area. There, the Multi-Manager and controlling lead organize the assessment and decision – implementation is then carried out again by the responsible project manager in the individual project.
The Project Control Center works with a proprietary metrics logic drawn from over 20 years of project practice – following the principle of minimal input, maximum insight. For example: a click on a tile or a tag shows the formula, interpretation and benchmark. What is the difference between KPI and cKPI?
The Object Map shows which people, suppliers, contracts, budgets, deadlines, risks and tasks are connected – and what effect a change has across the project network.
The Object Map represents complex n:m relationships graphically. This creates transparency, accountability and controllability across project boundaries.
The Workflow Engine, CRM Contact Management and DMS Engine connect data, people, documents and decisions into one controllable process.
The Project Control Center can be used standalone or connected via interfaces to existing project, ERP, document and reporting systems. Its control logic also powers the factory Facility Management Control Center ↗.
Cloud operation with updates, security and further development by factory. Ideal for fast rollout and scalable use.
Operation on your own infrastructure with custom integration, role logic and connection to existing system landscapes.
In the demo, we use a sample portfolio to show how project notifications turn into decisions, approvals and tasks.
