Integrated Controlling System

The central data hub
for your controlling

What used to be called middleware has evolved into an integrated controlling system: Data from your selected sources is automatically consolidated, validated and approved by the responsible teams, then seamlessly delivered to your management dashboard.

No subscription fees. No vendor lock-in. Your data, your control.

Fully Automated

Data is automatically collected from your source systems and transferred to the data hub – eliminating the need for manual exports.

Controlled

Each responsible stakeholder reviews, corrects, and approves their data within a 14-day period.

In the Cockpit

All approved figures are consolidated in the management dashboard – up to date, consistent, and audit-ready.

The Process

From Source Systems
to Your Dashboard

Three clearly defined steps – fully digital, transparent, and fully auditable.

1

Data is Automatically Collected

The data hub connects to your existing systems – such as ERP, financial accounting, HR systems, planning tools, and other applications. After a one-time setup, data retrieval runs automatically. Organizations define the cycle length themselves; monthly or quarterly data pulls are typical.

🔄 Automated
2

Review & Approval in the Department Dashboard

Each responsible stakeholder receives a personal department dashboard with the data relevant to them – visualized and immediately understandable. Data is aggregated into . Corrections can be entered directly. Approval must be completed within 14 days. Key figures can be commented on.

📋 14-day approval window
3

Consolidation in the Management Dashboard

The approved data from all areas is automatically consolidated in the central dashboard. On this basis, the are calculated to provide an overall view. Management receives a reliable, approved view of the control data and can identify deviations between planned and actual values at a glance.

📊 Consolidated Dashboard
The Controlling Cycle

Month after month.
Quarter after quarter.

The dashboard operates in a clearly defined, recurring rhythm – monthly or quarterly. Each cycle ends with a scheduled review meeting and is then archived.

Data Sources

All systems.
One data hub.

The data hub connects to your source systems via configurable interfaces – so all data is available in one system and is linked to form combined key performance indicators (cKPIs).

Why factory

More Than Middleware

Traditional middleware transports data – our data hub makes it actionable: with approval workflows, correction capabilities, and a dashboard that supports decision-making.

Reference: SWK SETEC GmbH, Krefeld
No more data silos ERP, financial accounting, and planning systems speak the same language – automatically and reliably.
Transparent accountability Each department owner sees exactly their data – and is responsible for approval.
Auditable corrections Every change is documented – who, when, and why. Audit-ready by design.
Dashboard instead of spreadsheet chaos Management sees approved key figures – no raw data, no interpretation required.
Your Benefits

The dashboard supports you
all year round

📈
Continuous view of annual performance

The dashboard supports every level of management in tracking annual performance month by month, helping to avoid unpleasant surprises at year-end closing.

Agile steering through early detection

The dashboard enables agile performance management by highlighting deviations within your defined cycle, allowing you to take immediate corrective action.

Approved data for reliable decisions

Only approved figures are included in the dashboard. Management decisions are based on data that has been explicitly confirmed by all responsible stakeholders.

🔄
Full historical transparency

All approved data states are archived in the system. This ensures that developments, corrections, and decision bases remain traceable, transparent, auditable, and accessible at any time.

Interfaces

We connect our dashboard to
any system

Our largest dashboard to date was fed from 16 different systems – partly fully automated via API interfaces, and partly via manual import of data from exotic or proprietary systems.

The dashboard is designed to connect to virtually any data source – regardless of how old or custom the underlying system may be.

16
Systems in a Cockpit Our largest customer project to date: 16 sources consolidated and 200(!) cKPIs calculated.
Interfaces are configured via customization. Less common or highly individual systems are connected via dedicated connectors when needed. This is based on our own library modules for flexible, project-specific integrations.

Available Interface Types

🔗
Web Interface Standardized web interfaces for modern systems – fully automated data retrieval
Database Connectivity Direct access to SQL databases – ERP, financial accounting, HR, and other systems
📂
File Import (CSV / Excel) Manual or automated import – also from exotic and legacy systems
🔌
Custom Connectors Tailor-made integrations for proprietary or industry-specific systems

"In the course of the SETEC Control project, we developed a controlling instrument that, in our view, is unique compared to other technical service providers and gives SETEC and the Stadtwerke Krefeld a decisive competitive advantage in meeting future challenges."
